We likey.

While I suppose it could, it should not surprise you that the Very Good Light editors come across a lot of products. Every month, we’ll sort through our bathroom counters and makeup bags to find the ones that stand out the most. They will be cataloged here, in no particular order.

On occasion, our picks will be associated with affiliate links, of which we receive a small percentage. This fact bears no relationship to our independent editorial selections! It merely helps keep the lights on.

Sponsored partner: Geologie Sunscreen
This past Sunday, I saw that the sun was going to be out all day, I threw all my essentials (headphones, treats for my dog, and this sunscreen) into my bag. While my shoulders have a nice little sunburn on them because I’m a dingdong — my face doesn’t. Thanks, Geologie.

Just like magic: Dr. Jart Clearing Solution Sheet Mask
Life has been stressful, and my skin, rightfully so, is broken out in hives and acne. To mend it, this sheet mask has been my skin savior against it all–– blackheads, hormonal acne, texture, you name it.–– Usually, my breakouts will go away in 3-5 days and you’d never know they were there in the first place. –Isis Gutierrez

Baby skin: Soft Services Smoothing Solution
This is a chemical exfoliant for the body, which I was unaware existed outside of my very specific, skincare-related dreams. I have KP, so physical exfoliants only aggravate my arms into red splotchy messes, but this product has actually yielded smoother, more even-toned, and overall better skin. –Nicole Swiggard

How's your head?: Vacation Baseball Hat
In my current Reputation Era, I’m only wearing gigantic blazers and this baby blue baseball cap. I feel like an Olsen twin shopping for bottled water in it. –Or Gotham

Everyday lashes: Maybelline the Falsies Lashlift
Up until a few months ago, you would never catch me not wearing waterproof mascara. This was for a number of reasons, but mostly because I have hooded eyelids, and they would smear all over. Long story short, I got it as a freebie with micellar water, and I’ve been using it everyday since. –IG

Getting warmer: Saie Dew Blush in Peachy
Blush is my favorite part of my makeup routine. Especially as we head toward summer, I want to look alive. This one wears naturally with a dewy finish, and it’s my perfect shade for faking a subtle little nose sunburn. –NS

Tall glass of water: Dezi Agua Fresca
This lightweight-but-penetrating gel creme moisturizer has niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and ceramides in a pump-top packaging that stops me from sticking my grubby fingers into the jar. –OG

Etude House Soon Jung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream

I bought a tube of this back in February for giggles. I’m a First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream loyalist, so, in all honesty, my expectations were low. Believe me when I tell you, this is the best face cream I’ve ever used. It’s said to strengthen the skin barrier and repair irritated skin, and it actually does just that. –NS
